Massive winds (same as a week ago), 24 hour fire ban and what do we have to the west? A massive fire! We should be all good, got burnt out that way a month or so ago.
Got very excited yesterday with the amount of clouds in the sky, some were even a bit dark. Today not a cloud in sight.

The Northern Territory has stayed safe from the spread of coronavirus by acting early whenever a threat appears. Tonight we have acted again. From midnight, all... of Greater Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich will be declared a hot spot for the purposes of travel to the Northern Territory. Any arrivals from tomorrow who have been in these areas will be sent into mandatory supervised quarantine for 14 days. While the numbers in Brisbane are still low, the Chief Health Officer has considered the data and advised that the risk of spread in these areas is unacceptably high. And we don’t take risks here. These areas are a threat to the Territory, so our borders will close to them. I know this may shock people. I know it will disrupt a lot of lives. And I’m sorry about that. Remember why we are doing this - to save lives. To keep us all safe. We’ve seen what happens when you wait too long or act too slowly with coronavirus. We will not take those chances here in the Territory. We will keep doing whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to keep the Territory safe.
Sold more cattle today. After only having 360mm of rain for our whole wet season we have had to destock drastically.
Winning names are Edith (female) and Fergusson (male). Thank you to everyone who contributed.
Teddy Bear Bee. #manbulloohomestead
Tonight 5pm at the old truck, come and join us to listen to the wonderful Jessey Jackson perform.
Thank you to everyone that submitted names. We narrowed it down to; Bonnie & Clyde Mork & Mindy Edith & Fergusson (these are rivers north of Katherine, the Edith river flows into the Fergusson).... Vote by using the like button, hold down to choose a reaction for the name you choose. Thank you!
Far too cold for us.

Did a Gorge tour, the water level is the lowest I’ve ever seen.
We are asking you for help with naming our newest additions. The smaller water buffalo is a boy and the larger one is a girl. We will choose 2 names for each then have a vote. Thanks
Thank you to Jessey Jackson for entertaining us whilst she is in isolation. We even got to hear 2 of her new songs she wrote a day ago. Fantastic!
Tonight 5pm Jessey Jackson will be singing from the balcony of cabin 2. Her last quarantine gig before being allowed to roam free! Bring along a chair and a drink.
Lexi caught a catfish.
Just dropping the kids off at school! Local photographer Paul Thomsen captured this beautiful moment of a male comb-crested jacana with his chicks at Yellow W...aters Billabong. The comb-crested jacana is an Australian native waterbird and can be spotted around Top End wetlands. They're also known as lotus birds or Jesus birds for their ability to seemingly walk on water. Male Jacana's are like stay-at-home dads, as the mother disappears after laying the eggs, leaving him to look after the chicks. When the father senses danger he will bundle his chicks up in his wings to carry them to safety. How cute!
The wonderful Jessey Jackson put on a performance for us. We had to go to her as she is currently in quarantine in one of our cabins. She will be entertaining again this Saturday 27/6 at cabin 2. Why not come out and stay with us and have a listen.
Hope to see everyone soon.
Combined effort to land the Barra. With the line whistling off the reel at a great rate Lexi was struggling to hang on, so Mum to the rescue!
Barramundi catch and release yesterday in the Katherine River.
Thank you to everybody that stayed with us over the long weekend we are very grateful you are supporting us.
