Campsite - Modesto Ridge Runners

Good morning, I am reaching out from Stanislaus County Parks & Recreation with a few friendly reminders about your upcoming reservation at Frank Raines Campground: 1. Although the campground is open for camping, the OHV Park remains closed for fire season. No OHV use of any kind will be permitted until the OHV Park has reopened. Due to recent fire damage, the OHV Park’s reopening may be postponed beyond the traditional reopening date. You can check the operating status of ...the OHV Park on our website, www.stancounty.com/parks. 2. The only fires currently allowed are charcoal or propane fires in a container. There are no wood fires of any kind permitted at this time. Please be sure to fully extinguish your fires when you are finished. 3. Please keep in mind that there is no cell service in the Canyon. From the Stanislaus County Office of Emergency Services: A Mandatory Evacuation Order has been issued for residents on Del Puerto Canyon Road from Frank Raines Park (Stanislaus County) west to Mines Road (Santa Clara County) due to increased fire activity on the Canyon Fire.

Modesto Ridge Runners regretfully has to announce that we have to cancel our 2020 46th Annual High Desert Rally due to the Covid-19 guidelines just announced by the Governor and State Regulations. We will be issuing refunds to all that have sent in applications and money. Look forward to your participation next year 2021. Planning on bigger and better! Hi All Off Roaders At your next club meeting can you please talk about the closures that are going on at the Oceano Dunes SVRA. They just took 48 more acres of prime camping area right before the holiday weekend. The dust issue that they have can be solved by wind fencing more info on the fencing is at https://offroadersunited.org/ ... We are asking that all off roaders dirt or sand come to fight for our OHV land. Sacramento on Jan 31st at the State Capitol. If they close Pismo the dirt trails will be next.
