We spy some wild bergamot and black-eyed Susan in this beautiful prairie shot by Joni G. As part of the Rock Island County Forest Preserve, we’ve been working hard to re-establish these habitat-rich lands, and to educate our visitors to do the same in their own backyards. In total, #RICFP has planted 55 acres of prairies between its six properties, and this fall, a season record-breaking 44 prairies are expected to be planted.

EXCITING NEWS: our new Deer Haven campground will be OPEN for Labor Day weekend. The brand-new campground sits on 12.7 acres of land and features 35 full-service pull through RV campsites with water, sewer and 50, 30 and 20 amp electricity.
